About Hege

Hege Borgersen Faber has a commercial background from the fashion industry, where she has worked with the management of both retail and wholesale companies. Her main responsibility has been Brand, Sales and Marketing Management for international markets, in Europe and abroad. Hege has a broad knowledge of retail and wholesale mechanisms as well as international relations - with a strong focus on processes, communication and structuring.

After almost 20 years in the fashion industry, Hege decided to change his course: "I was tired of not working towards a higher purpose than just making money for the shareholders. When I met The Organic Company and the people behind it, I found what I had missing - a company with real values ​​that I share and a mission to make a difference. You could say I fell professionally in love with The Organic Company, and here I am."

What is it like to be in a company that meditates regularly?
I think it's great to be part of a company that prioritizes this. We try to meditate every week and I think it is important, especially during those periods when we feel there is no time for meditation.

What is your favorite TOC product?
There are so many. I really love the simplicity of ingenious products like kitchen and wash cloths and food bags, where design, quality and functionality are perfectly united. But the 6-layer soft rug is the ultimate favorite in my home.

Where can you see TOC for 5 years?
5 years from now, I believe TOC is still growing with our mission and our growing business. Hopefully GOTS production is required by all consumers.
